How You'll Raise More Money in One Quarter

Hey Reader, Nearly every problem you want to solve in a nonprofit can be solved with more money. I know you have the drive and curiosity to raise more money. But most nonprofits lack strategy, tools, discipline or focus. In order to raise more money in the next quarter, you need to create a “culture of asking” so that every single person in the organization sees fundraising as part of their job. I show nonprofits how to identify their strengths (with a list) and then create the best repeatable pitch you’ve ever had, and then get everyone pitching in to raise funds. You may ask, “But what if I am an introvert?” You don’t need to make idle chit chat or schmooze people at events and happy hours. Creating a culture of asking means reminding people all year round that you haven’t hit your revenue goals and need everyone to pitch in. Introverts usually love getting right to the point! You may ask, “We don’t have that many people to have a ‘culture,’”: You do!! Even if your organization has a tiny board and no staff, the emails you put out, the website copy you write, and the way you show up at events must communicate that you need money. This isn’t begging. Too often, nonprofits act like everything is wonderful, which gives the impression that money isn’t needed. I’ll help you change this. You may ask, “I don’t want to sound like I am begging,”: You aren’t begging. You are changing the world and donors WANT to help you change the world. They won’t know how to help unless they are invited to help. Who doesn’t love an invitation? People don’t act unless we ask them to. It’s our job, not begging!
